Note from the host:
I am so grateful to everyone who has helped us raise £800 so far. This cause is incredibly close to my heart, which is why I decided to host Charity Week in the first place. My cousin is currently receiving end of life care after suffering with a glioblastoma for the last four years, and I wanted to raise some money for the charity that has supported him during his illness.
I know money is precious and that many people don't have money spare to support charities they have no connection to. But every year, 16,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with brain tumours. They disproportionately affect young people and they are fast and cruel killers. It can happen to anyone at any time. We will likely all know someone in our lifetime who suffers with a brain tumour - so many of you have already told me your own stories and experiences of brain tumours. That's why I am humbly asking that if you enjoy Indie Visible events, you choose to support us by giving to this charity today. It would mean the absolute world to me, to my family, and to my cousin. I will always be grateful if you choose to support us in any way, shape or form. And if you're unable to give money today, please help us to spread the word about the event - every little helps!
Thank you to anyone who has read this far, and thank you to anyone who clicks the donate button. You are endlessly appreciated.
