With a great foolishness, I stepped out into the cool night air an hour after midnight. The doubts still lingered within my mind as curiosity had gotten the better of me. The smell of moist salty sea air greeted the nose and the sounds of a steamship headed back out to sea greeted my ears. I took a moment to admit that living in the age of steam power was a wonderful thing and couldn’t picture existing in a world without it. My shoes quietly cushioned my footsteps, and I made my way through the streetlights of Wultkan in my quest to silence my curiosity.*
